Yashima provides support for families who have children who have developmental disabilities from infancy to adult on a daily basis. She assists families in developing strategies to help their child/children in the school environment. Yashima also helps parents navigate through special education by a Reading Individual Education Plan to make sure it meets the child’s specific academic and social needs. She also helps parents advocate for services for their child/children.
